Itinerary

Day 1Journey to Khanian — Arrive, Exhale and Slow DownRiverside resort Khanian, Kaghan Valley

Arrive, Exhale and Come Back Into Your Body Lahore Musafirs depart the previous evening and travel overnight towards Islamabad. Karachi Musafirs follow the departure specific travel plan shared by the 3Musafir team and connect with the main group through Islamabad. Exact bus/flight timings, airport/bus station coordination and what is included in the Karachi package are communicated with the confirmed departure. Islamabad Musafirs join the group early in the morning before everyone continues together through Mansehra and Balakot into Kaghan Valley. Stop for breakfast and refreshments on the way before arriving at the riverside resort in Khanian. Check in, settle into your room and take proper time to recover from the journey. The retreat does not begin with a packed schedule. It begins with slowing down. Expert Led Arrival Reset The first guided wellness session is designed specifically for Musafirs who have just spent several hours travelling. The facilitator begins with a short grounding practice to help everyone mentally arrive at the retreat rather than carrying the pace of the city into Khanian. The session then moves into gentle mobility and beginner friendly yoga focused on the areas that normally tighten during travel. Expect movements for the neck, shoulders, spine, hips and lower back, followed by easy stretches and slow breathing. The practice finishes with a short guided grounding meditation. Musafirs are encouraged to notice their breathing, physical tension and surroundings without trying to achieve anything. No previous yoga experience is required. After the session, take time beside the river, walk through the resort, rest or simply do nothing for a while. Dinner is served in the evening. The first night ends with light community activities, music and a bonfire. Unlike a normal Musafir night, the pace stays deliberately softer. The idea is not to exhaust yourself on the first evening. It is to arrive.

Day 2The Riverside Reset — Yoga, Journaling and Creative ExpressionRiverside resort Khanian, Kaghan Valley

The Full Reset This is the main wellness day of Detox Retreat. Wake up early and meet the facilitator outdoors for the longest guided practice of the weekend. Morning Yoga Flow The morning begins with intentional breathing and gentle mobility before moving into a beginner friendly yoga flow. The facilitator gradually works through the body with standing movements, spinal mobility, balance, hip opening and longer stretches. The session is designed to wake the body up without turning the retreat into a fitness class. Musafirs can modify or skip movements whenever needed. The physical practice gradually slows before transitioning into guided breathing. Guided Morning Meditation Once the body has settled, the facilitator leads a seated or lying meditation. The focus is simple. Notice the breath. Notice the body. Notice thoughts without automatically following them. Notice where your attention keeps disappearing. The meditation is followed by a few quiet minutes before breakfast so Musafirs do not immediately jump back onto their phones. Enjoy breakfast and then take personal time around the resort. Read. Walk. Sit beside the river. Talk to someone new. Take a nap. Or do absolutely nothing. Guided Journaling Session Later in the morning, the facilitator introduces a structured reflection session. Instead of asking Musafirs to simply “journal”, prompts guide them through what has been occupying their attention lately. The reflection can explore questions around energy, routine, pressure, boundaries, gratitude and what they may need more or less of when they return home. Sharing is always optional. The purpose is private reflection, not forced vulnerability. Riverside Creative Session The journaling session moves into painting beside the river. Musafirs can paint the landscape, work from a feeling, experiment with colour or make something completely abstract. There is no technical objective and no previous experience is needed. The activity is deliberately process focused. Lunch is at personal expense. The afternoon remains open. Musafirs can continue painting, sleep, read, explore the resort, take photographs or spend quiet time beside the river. Evening Nervous System Reset Later in the day, the group returns to the facilitator for a slower session. Instead of another energetic yoga flow, this practice focuses on deeper stretching, restorative positions, slow breathing and releasing tension accumulated in the body. The facilitator may use supported resting positions, longer holds, breath awareness and a guided body scan depending on the group and weather. The session ends with a deeper guided meditation designed to shift the group from doing into resting. After dinner, gather around the bonfire for the main community circle of the retreat. The conversation moves through gratitude, things Musafirs want to release and what they want to protect when they return to everyday life. Nobody is required to share something personal. Listening is participation too.

Day 3Final Slow Morning — Reflection and Journey HomeNo overnight stay

Carry Something Back With You Wake up for an optional sunrise wellness session beside the river. The final practice is intentionally lighter than Day 2. Sunrise Yoga and Mobility Begin with slow stretching and easy movements designed to wake the body up. The facilitator focuses on mobility rather than intensity so Musafirs leave the retreat feeling open rather than tired. Breathwork and Final Meditation The movement practice flows into guided breathing and a short meditation. Instead of focusing only on relaxation, the final meditation asks Musafirs to think about what happens after Detox ends. What part of the weekend could realistically survive Monday morning? Five quiet minutes before opening your phone? A short stretch? Writing one page? Taking a walk without headphones? Setting a boundary? The retreat ends by turning reflection into something practical. Enjoy breakfast and spend the remaining morning packing, taking photographs or returning to the river one final time. Closing Circle Before departure, the facilitator and 3Musafir team bring everyone together for the final circle. Musafirs reflect on the weekend and identify one intention, habit or boundary they want to take home. The goal is not to leave Khanian as a completely different person. It is to leave slightly more aware of how you want your normal life to feel. Check out and begin the return journey towards Islamabad. Islamabad Musafirs conclude their journey at the communicated drop off point. Lahore Musafirs continue south. Karachi Musafirs reconnect with their departure specific return flight arrangement through Islamabad. Exact airport movement and flight coordination are shared with confirmed Karachi Musafirs before departure.

Expert Led Wellness Programme

Detox is built around a dedicated wellness facilitator rather than self guided yoga sessions. The facilitator leads the main yoga, meditation, breathwork and reflection sessions throughout the retreat and adapts movements where necessary for beginners and different comfort levels. The original Detox Retreat 3.0 programme was facilitated by Mehrwush. Facilitators may vary between departures, and the confirmed facilitator for each departure should be communicated before travel. The existing page already records Mehrwush as the original facilitator.

What the Yoga/Meditation Sessions Are Like

The sessions are beginner friendly and focus more on mobility, breathing, body awareness and relaxation than athletic performance. Meditation sessions are guided by the facilitator and may include breath awareness, grounding, body scans, stillness, sensory awareness and intention setting.

Safety and community

The retreat involves long road travel, outdoor activities and uneven riverside terrain. Musafirs must follow safety instructions, avoid deep or fast-moving water, stay within their physical limits and disclose relevant medical conditions. Comfortable shoes, warm layers, rain protection and personal medication are required. Activities may change due to weather, and travel insurance, medical care, rescue and evacuation are not included.

Detox Retreat is a limited-capacity mixed-group experience built around safety, respect and community. Solo women are welcomed through 3Musafir’s verification process. Activities and reduced screen time are encouraged but optional, and Musafirs may take personal space when needed. Harassment, unsafe behaviour, substance misuse and disruptive conduct are not tolerated.
