Bali OktoberFest is a 9-day, 8-night community escape through Ubud, Gili Trawangan and Seminyak—timed to end with Halloween weekend on Bali’s most social coastline. The journey begins with river rapids, rice terraces, jungle adventures, hot springs and traditional Balinese villages. It then moves to Gili Trawangan for snorkeling, bicycles, turquoise water and sunsets without traffic or schedules. The final chapter belongs to Seminyak: cafés, beaches, shopping, spas, coastal evenings and Halloween night with the Musafir crew. This exact version of Bali only happens once a year. You arrive for the island, but the people beside you during the rafting, boat rides, sunsets and Halloween countdown usually become the part you wish you could take home.
Is this trip for me?
Itinerary
Day 1Welcome to Ubud — The Island Takes OverChamplung Sari Hotel
Land in Bali and meet the local operations team for the transfer to Ubud. The drive changes the mood almost immediately: jungle roads, temple gates, scooters, incense and the feeling that normal life has finally stopped following you. Check into the hotel and keep the first evening light. Rest, walk through the surrounding streets or join the Musafir welcome circle. No exhausting arrival-day checklist. Just introductions, easy conversations and the first realization that the names from the group chat are about to become part of your Bali story.
Day 2River Rapids, Rice Terraces and the First Inside JokesChamplung Sari Hotel
After breakfast, travel towards the Ayung River for the group rafting experience. No previous rafting experience is required. There is no room for awkward introductions once everyone is paddling, shouting instructions and getting soaked together. By the time the raft reaches the end, the group no longer feels new. Continue to Tegallalang Rice Terraces for valley walks, viewpoints, photographs and optional swings. The final stop is a local coffee plantation for Balinese coffee, cacao and herbal-tea tasting before returning to Ubud. The first full day ends with tired clothes, full camera rolls and the inside jokes that will keep returning for the rest of the trip.
Day 3Mud, Hot Springs and Traditional BaliChamplung Sari Hotel
Begin the day with the confirmed adventure experience: an ATV ride or jungle-cart activity, depending on final vendor arrangements. Expect mud, speed, laughter and photographs people will pretend they do not want posted. After the adrenaline, move towards Batur Natural Hot Springs. Slow down in warm mineral pools surrounded by Bali’s volcanic landscape before continuing to Penglipuran Village. Walk through traditional lanes, homes, courtyards and temple surroundings before returning to Ubud. This is the day Bali stops feeling like a destination and starts feeling like a shared life nobody wants to pause.
Day 4Ubud to Gili T — Leave the Traffic BehindScallywags Resort, Gili Trawangan
Check out after breakfast and travel towards the harbour for the fast boat to Gili Trawangan. The island shift happens quickly. Roads disappear, cars disappear and suddenly the only serious decisions are which beach to sit on and where to watch sunset. Check into the Gili hotel and leave the afternoon open. Rent a bicycle, explore beach cafés, swim, rest or simply disappear into island time with the people who now feel far less like strangers. Meet again around sunset for photographs, dinner and an optional evening on the island.
Day 5Snorkeling Day — The Island ChapterScallywags Resort, Gili Trawangan
After breakfast, head out for a shared snorkeling experience around the Gili Islands. Float above coral, tropical marine life and underwater landscapes, with the possibility of seeing sea turtles depending on natural conditions. Gili Trawangan is recognised for its clear water, reefs and popular snorkeling locations. After snorkeling, the rest of the island day is free. Cycle around Gili T, stop at beach cafés, visit the night market, find a sunset point or do nothing with people whose company has started feeling strangely familiar. This is the part people call “free time” before later admitting it was the part they miss most.
Day 6The Coastal Switch — Gili T to SeminyakThe ONE Legian
Check out after breakfast and take the fast boat back to mainland Bali. Continue by road towards Seminyak and check into the hotel for the final three-night chapter. The atmosphere changes again. Ubud was the reset. Gili was the escape. Seminyak is where Bali becomes social, stylish and fully awake. Rest after the transfer or explore the nearby beach, cafés, boutiques and restaurants. The evening remains open for a sunset walk, casual dinner or the first coastal night with the group.
Day 7Choose Your Own Bali — The Halloween Build-UpThe ONE Legian
Wake up without an alarm. This day belongs to whatever version of Bali you still need. Choose from café hopping, shopping, a spa, surfing, a beach club, a slow breakfast or an afternoon doing absolutely nothing. Seminyak combines beaches with restaurants, boutiques, spas and a lively evening scene, giving the group several ways to spend the day without forcing everyone into one plan. Use the afternoon to prepare costumes, find accessories or plan the next night’s Halloween look. Meet the group around sunset for photographs and an optional pre-Halloween evening. The countdown has started, and everyone knows there is only one full day of Bali left.
Day 8Halloween in Seminyak — The Final Full SendThe ONE Legian
The final full day begins slowly because nobody wants to admit the journey is almost over. Spend the morning at the beach, complete last-minute shopping, book a massage or return to a favourite café. As evening approaches, the group transforms. Costumes appear. Cameras come out. Room doors keep opening as Musafirs borrow accessories, fix each other’s looks and gather for the Halloween reveal. Begin with a coordinated group photography session followed by the farewell dinner and Halloween community night in Seminyak. The specific venue will be confirmed closer to departure according to official Halloween schedules, group suitability and entry conditions. Venue entry, minimum spending and independently selected nightlife remain excluded unless the departure package specifically states otherwise. It is the final full night—the one where strangers realise they now know each other’s stories, favourite songs, bad habits and future travel plans. Bali ends eventually. This version of it only happens once.
Day 9The Return — Leaving the Island, Keeping the PeopleReturn flight
Pack, complete hotel check-out and transfer to Bali’s international airport according to the confirmed flight schedule. The goodbyes take longer than expected because everyone knows the group will never exist in exactly this form again. Some Musafirs will remain friends. Some will book another trip together. Others will become a memory permanently attached to a river in Ubud, a sunset in Gili or a Halloween night in Seminyak. You came to see Bali. You leave knowing what it felt like to belong there for a while.

FAQs
Can I join a 3Musafir trip alone?
Yes. Many Musafirs join without knowing anyone, so you will not be the only one arriving solo. Our onboarding, group communication and trip captains make introductions feel natural—because waiting for someone else should not keep you from living your own experiences.
Is travelling with 3Musafir safe for women?
Women-first safety is built into how 3Musafir operates. Depending on the trip, this includes traveller verification, onboarding checks, vetted partners, conduct guidelines and trip-captain support—so you can focus more on the experience and less on navigating everything alone.
What is included in the trip price?
Every trip page clearly lists what is included and excluded before you pay. Review it early, as popular departures, preferred rooms and lower-priced options may fill before the trip officially sells out.
How do I book, and when is my seat confirmed?
Submit the registration form, complete the required onboarding and make the specified payment. Registration alone does not reserve your place—your seat is confirmed only after payment, so delaying may mean losing your preferred departure or room option.
What happens if I cancel or the itinerary changes?
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the trip, timing and supplier commitments. If weather, flights or road conditions require changes, we work to protect the safety and core experience—because flexibility should adjust the journey, not take away the reason you joined.
Is this an Oktoberfest beer festival?
No. Bali OktoberFest is 3Musafir’s annual October Bali community journey. It combines Ubud, Gili Trawangan and Seminyak, ending with Halloween night.
Which destinations are included?
The route includes three nights in Ubud, two nights in Gili Trawangan and three nights in Seminyak.
Is a costume compulsory?
No. Dressing up is encouraged because it adds to the shared experience, but participation remains optional.
Are airport transfers included?
Yes, if explicitly mentioned.
